IIM Bodh Gaya Celebrates 80th Independence Day
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya marked India’s 80th Independence Day with a series of events on campus, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to commemorate the nation’s Independence and reflect on the values of responsibility, discipline, unity, and nation-building. The occasion also provided an opportunity to look back at IIM Bodh Gaya’s 11-year journey, its growth in scale and stature, and its expanding national and global aspirations, further strengthened by its growing international standing and academic recognition.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the IIM Bodh Gaya community. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vinita, emphasised the importance of intention, discipline, and consistency in achieving meaningful progress. She said, “The right intention, supported by discipline and consistent effort, is essential for achieving meaningful and sustainable progress.” Reflecting on the institute’s journey, she added, “Over the past 11 years, IIM Bodh Gaya has evolved from a cohort of 30 students into an institution with growing national and global aspirations. Our journey ahead is driven by the spirit to ‘Go Fly, Soar High ‘. She further encouraged students to make a positive difference wherever they go and contribute to the growth of the nation, institutions, and communities they become part of.
