A key meeting was held on 13 July 2026 in the Collectorate chamber to strengthen mobile network coverage and provide better connectivity across the entire venue for the State Shravani Mela 2026. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya.
The DC said that lakhs of devotees arrive in Deoghar from across the country and abroad for the Shravani Mela. Ensuring smooth communication and uninterrupted internet connectivity in the mela area is one of the administration’s highest priorities. He instructed all government and private telecom service providers to reinforce infrastructure before the mela begins so that network crashes or calling problems do not occur during periods of heavy crowding.
He further directed that temporary mobile towers be installed on major mela routes, kanwariya paths, and other crowded locations, and asked all companies to upgrade their existing network bandwidth and capacity as soon as possible. The Deputy Commissioner made clear that any negligence in the network-strengthening work will not be tolerated. He gave strict instructions to all concerned officers and telecom representatives to complete the work within the set timeframe with proper coordination.
Present at the meeting were DPO UID Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, and officials from mobile network companies Airtel, Jio, BSNL, and Vodafone.
