SAIL CMD reviews BSL operations focus on future plans

Reinforcing Bokaro Steel Plant’s strategic role in SAIL’s growth journey, Steel Authority of India Limited CMD Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda conducted a comprehensive review of the plant’s performance and future expansion plans during his visit to Bokaro on Saturday. He was welcomed by Director In-Charge Priya Ranjan.
During a detailed review session, the plant leadership presented an overview of production achievements, productivity indicators, financial performance, project implementation and various operational improvement initiatives. Dr. Panda examined the progress made across major functional areas and called for sustained efforts to drive efficiency and excellence.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining a competitive edge in the steel industry, the SAIL chief emphasized uncompromising focus on safety, superior product quality, equipment reliability and increased production of value-added steel. He observed that Bokaro Steel Plant has significant untapped potential and is well-positioned to contribute substantially to SAIL’s long-term growth strategy.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Panda was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the Central Industrial Security Force at Bokaro Niwas. The review meeting was attended by executive directors, chief general managers and senior officers of the plant.
Expressing confidence in the leadership of Priya Ranjan and the commitment of the workforce, Dr. Panda said that innovation-driven practices, strong teamwork and operational excellence would enable Bokaro Steel Plant to scale new heights and further strengthen its contribution to India’s steel sector.
