The strike was organized by the outsourced sanitation staff to protest unaddressed grievances regarding working conditions and administrative delays. With garbage accumulating rapidly across various departments, patient attendants have reported deteriorating condition inside treatment areas and toilet facilities. Medical staff at the facility face increasing difficulty in maintaining a sterile environment required for critical care and routine medical procedures.
Local administrative authorities and hospital management are facing heightened scrutiny as citizens call for immediate intervention. Appeals have been directed to the Dumka District Magistrate and health department officials to resolve the impasse promptly, mediate discussions with the protesting workforce, and restore standard sanitation protocols across the medical college campus.
