School Memories Echo Again After 29 Years: Grand Reunion of Bokaro High School Sector-12E, Batch of 1997

June 23, 2026

Bokaro

Time may move forward, but the memories of school days never fade. A heartwarming and memorable scene unfolded when the students of the 1997 batch of Bokaro High School Sector-12E (now DAV Public School) reunited at their alma mater after nearly 29 years. A total of 71 alumni from different cities and states across India participated in the grand reunion, reliving the cherished moments of their student life.

The reunion began with a warm welcome in the school auditorium, where old friends met after decades with smiles, hugs, and laughter. As classmates reminisced about classroom pranks, friendships, and unforgettable school experiences, the atmosphere was filled with nostalgia and joy. For many, it was the first meeting in almost three decades, making the occasion even more special and emotional.

Former teachers were also invited as special guests and were felicitated with mementos and certificates of appreciation. The alumni expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the guidance and values imparted by their teachers. In return, the teachers shared fond memories of their students and extended their blessings and best wishes for their continued success. The reunion of teachers and students became one of the most touching moments of the event.

Many alumni became emotional as they revisited their old classrooms, sat once again at the desks where they had spent their formative years, and posed for photographs. Memories of friendships, examinations, sports events, and cultural activities came flooding back, creating a powerful sense of connection with the past.

Participants also shared their professional journeys and achievements. Alumni from diverse fields, including corporate leadership, education, healthcare, business, and government services, spoke about their experiences and offered inspiring messages for younger generations.

The event featured vibrant cultural performances, including music, dance, and entertainment programs that rekindled memories of school life. The performances added energy and enthusiasm to the gathering, creating a perfect blend of nostalgia and celebration.

The organizers emphasized that such reunions not only reconnect old friends but also strengthen the enduring bond between teachers and students. Encouraged by the overwhelming response, participants expressed their desire to continue organizing similar gatherings in the future.

Among those present were Narendra Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Praveen, Praveer, Bhavesh, Ramashish, Vikas, Shweta, Babita, Madhu, Yasmeen, Amita, Meena, Ruma, Veena, and many other alumni. The event concluded with a group photograph, a vote of thanks, and a promise to meet again.

More than just a reunion, the gathering was a celebration of friendships, memories, gratitude, and relationships that have only grown stronger with time.
