Jamshedpur

A total of 441 students from diverse educational, professional, geographical and cultural backgrounds joined XLRI – Xavier School of Management as the institute formally commenced its academic session for the 2026–28 batch. Reflecting XLRI’s commitment to academic excellence and diversity, the incoming cohort was welcomed during a Prayer Service and Induction Ceremony held at the Tata Auditorium on campus.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the XLRI Honour Pledge, through which students reaffirmed their commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, academic honesty, inclusivity and respect for diversity. The pledge also underscored the institution’s emphasis on pursuing excellence while contributing to the greater good of society.

The induction programme introduced students to XLRI’s Jesuit values, academic culture and leadership philosophy. Addressing the gathering, Dr. (Fr.) Sebastian George, SJ, Director, XLRI, encouraged students to embrace curiosity, compassion and collaboration while striving to become responsible and values-driven leaders. Dr. Sanjay Patro, Dean Academics, urged the students to uphold the Jesuit principle of “magis” and continually strive for greater excellence and service to others.
