Healthcare institutions to go digital across East Singhbhum

Government health institutions across East Singhbhum are set to move towards a fully integrated digital healthcare system, with authorities focusing on online services and wider coverage under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
A one-day training programme on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and Ayushman Bharat was organised at the conference hall of the Civil Surgeon’s office under the chairmanship of Dr Sahir Pall, Civil Surgeon, East Singhbhum.
Laboratory in-charges, pharmacists, Ayushman Mitras and data managers from government health institutions across the district participated in the programme.
Addressing the participants, Dr Pall said the primary objective was to bring all government healthcare institutions under a common digital system so that essential health-related information and services could be made available online.
The training covered the implementation of online registration, digital laboratory services and online medicine distribution. Trainers explained that these services are an important component of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and require coordinated implementation across government health facilities.
Special emphasis was also placed on the role of Ayushman Mitras in ensuring that eligible patients receive the benefits available under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Participants were briefed on the scheme and instructed to facilitate its effective implementation at health institutions while ensuring that eligible beneficiaries are not deprived of healthcare benefits.
Dr Pall stressed that digital integration should ultimately translate into easier access to healthcare for the public. The objective, he said, was not merely to digitise records and services but to ensure that technology helps connect patients with government healthcare and welfare schemes more efficiently.
DRCHO Dr Ranjit Panda, State Trainers Shailesh Pratap and Niket Kumar, District Programme Coordinator (Ayushman Bharat) Sandeep Surin and District Project Coordinator (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) Sandeep Surin were among those associated with the programme.
The training marked another step towards strengthening digital healthcare delivery in East Singhbhum, with the health department aiming to bring government institutions, services and beneficiaries onto a more integrated digital platform.
