Stepping up the heat on the state administration, the Bharatiya Janata Party Dumka unit staged a high-octane torchlight procession on Friday, spearheading a state-wide agitation against alleged paper leaks, rampant irregularities, and corruption plaguing the JSSC and JPSC recruitment examinations.
The demonstration was jointly spearheaded by Dumka City President Santosh Sah and Sadar Mandal President Manish Kumar. Marching from Veer Kunwar Singh Chowk to Teen Bazar Chowk, an energized crowd of BJP workers and aggrieved job aspirants vociferously chanted slogans denouncing the state government’s handling of public sector recruitment.
Addressing the charged gathering, BJP State Working Committee member Suresh Murmu launched a scathing critique, demanding that the Chief Minister step down immediately on moral grounds. Murmu pressed the administration to explain why corruption scandals and exam paper leaks have become a recurring pattern, and why accountability has continuously been dodged. He remarked that the youth of Jharkhand are fed up with hollow promises and empty rhetoric, demanding instead absolute transparency, unbiased probes, and uncompromising penal action against the architects of these systemic failures.
Echoing similar sentiments, BJP State Council member Niwas Mandal targeted the ruling regime for crushing the aspirations of lakhs of hopeful candidates. Mandal noted that the crumbling credibility of competitive examinations points to a total governance failure. He emphasized that years of relentless preparation by young aspirants are being sabotaged by administrative apathy, warning that the party stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the youth and will resist any attempt to compromise their future.
