A high-level review meeting was convened to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of the upcoming Rajkiya Shravani Mela 2026. During the meeting, department-wise detailed discussions were held on basic facilities for devotees, security arrangements, and infrastructure-related works in the mela area.
Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania gave clear and strict instructions to the joint team of senior officials and executive engineers of the concerned departments, directing them to complete all preparations 100% before the formal commencement of the mela. He emphasized in strong words that no laxity or shortcoming would be tolerated in providing facilities to the lakhs of Kanwariyas (devotees) arriving from across the country and abroad.
The DC reviewed the progress of works department-wise and issued necessary directions to senior officers and executive engineers of various departments including Baba Mandir, Nagar Nigam, Health Department, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Transport Department, Building Construction Division, National Highways, Power Supply, Work Division, Road Construction Department, and Information & Public Relations Department.
He gave strict instructions for the timely completion of all works related to cleanliness, toilets, accommodation, electricity supply, parking, drainage, and road construction. He reiterated that these facilities — including cleanliness in the mela area, clean toilets, pure drinking water, and convenient accommodation — must be available round the clock.
The DC directed all concerned officers to work with mutual coordination for the devotees during the Shravani Mela so that there is no deficiency in the arrangements. He warned that regular monitoring of these works would be done and any delay or compromise in quality would result in strict disciplinary action against the responsible officers and engineers.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, Municipal Commissioner Sulochana Meena, Temple In-charge-cum-Sub-Divisional Officer Ravi Kumar, District Planning Officer Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, DMFT team, and senior officers and technical teams of the concerned departments.
