School drop out, 2 college students caught with illicit opium in Daltonganj

Operation Prahar against drugs and its abuse has begun to yield considerable results in Palamu.
This Prahar launched by the SP Kapil Chaudhary aims at curbing and containing the multiple crore network of drive and its abuse said sources.
A school drop out and two college students were caught with 724 grams of opium at Singra Khurd under the Sadar police station limits on Friday July 10.
The arrested trio have been identified as Roshan ( school drop out) and Aditya and Nitish ( both college students).
SP Kapil Chaudhary said the three have been booked under the NDPS act and forwarded to judicial custody Saturday evening.
SDPO Sadar Rajesh Yadav and officer in charge of the Sadar police station Afzal Ansari played a very professional role in nabbing the three with opium.
Aditya had a backpack where was this 724 gram of opium said the SP.
“It’s sad. They are young and a fresher into the crime. None of the three has any criminal antecedence. It’s easy money that drove them into the narcotics” opined the SP.
This 724 grams of opium could fetch any thing around a lakh or so said sources.
These three were on a bike coming to Daltonganj from Parwa More and the police had a precise tip off about the three with banned articles.
“SDPO Sadar Rajesh Yadav and officer in charge Afzal Ansari making no mistake and hurry caught these three before the contraband narcotics exchanging hands here in Daltonganj.” reiterated the SP.
Police didn’t disclose the identity of the Daltonganj buyer for the sake of police investigation.
